Three-dimensional models are created from CAD drawings, laying the groundwork for patterns and castings. Runner castings are tightly controlled, following rigid specifications for alloys, chills, core assemblies, and other requirements. Before the runner is released for final machining and balancing, it undergoes non-destructive testing and heat treating.
CHPE has provided a number of customers with as-kind and upgraded replacement runners and turbine components that have outperformed the original equipment. Even the best turbine systems experience performance degradation over time. Efficiency drops as waterborne silt wears away runner and nozzle surfaces, as bearings and seals age, and when changes are made to the penstock or other components.
CHPE has the experience necessary for a complete inspection of your current turbine system. We begin with close examination of the runner and nozzle system, including non-destructive testing (NDT) of your runner using a liquid dye penetrant to detect surface degradation and more serious cracks.
The rest of your turbine system is carefully checked for wear and proper operation. Bearings and shaft seals are inspected for wear and leakage. The Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) is tested, along with all actuators and linkages. Historical operating data are evaluated to spot changes and trends in system output.
When the turbine inspection is complete, CHPE will provide a comprehensive report of your system condition, including photos of key components and hydraulic surfaces. If appropriate, we will include specific recommendations for improving system output.

CHPE has established and perfected the fast reaction system. In this system, the vice president is in charge of the system, the user’s services department operates the system, and all the departments and factories work as base. All these members cooperate with each other and work for 24 hours services for domestic user and 72 hours (exclude the time for visa) services for foreign user. In receiving any information or order, give response, dispose or dispatch serve staff in 24 hours for domestic user and in 72 hours (exclude the time for visa) for foreign user.

Since the generating equipment technology is complex and difficult to master, in order to let customer grasp the technology better and bring the equipment into full play as soon as possible to get best economic benefits, the company has established a training system of user. It is held once a year to train the senior management staff, senior technology staff, and maintenance monitor and operation workers of power station. The main contents of training include specialized introductions of the generating equipments, description of manufacturing technology and disposition of typical failures with an emphasis on the design, technology, maintenance and disposition of failures of our products.
